A clean clinic is part of patient care
In a health practice, cleaning is not cosmetic. Waiting rooms fill with people who are unwell, front desks and pens are handled all day, and washrooms see heavy use. A patient who notices dust on a ledge or a dirty washroom wonders what else is being missed. Your staff need a space where the routine is done properly every day, without having to think about it.
MC Services cleans medical clinics, family practices, walk-in clinics, dental offices, physiotherapy and chiropractic clinics, optometrists, massage therapy and wellness practices across Toronto and the GTA. We work after hours, follow a written checklist built around your clinic’s own infection prevention and control (IPAC) protocols, and keep the same trained crew on your site wherever possible. Our team is insured and covered by WSIB.
What we clean in a clinic
- Reception and waiting room: counters, payment terminals, pens, chair arms and seats, door handles, light switches, magazine racks and children’s areas cleaned and disinfected; glass and entrance doors polished
- Washrooms: toilets, sinks, grab bars, dispensers, mirrors, partitions and floors cleaned and disinfected; consumables restocked
- Hallways and staff areas: touchpoints disinfected, kitchens and break rooms cleaned, staff washrooms done
- Exam and treatment rooms (non-clinical surfaces): counters, chairs, door handles, light switches, sinks, floors and garbage, to the scope your clinic sets
- Floors: vacuumed and mopped with the right product for each floor type, using a separate mop and colour-coded cloths for washrooms
- Garbage and recycling: general waste and recycling removed; we do not handle biomedical or sharps waste
What stays with your clinical staff
Clinical cleaning between patients, sterilization of instruments, biomedical waste and sharps containers stay with your trained clinical team or licensed waste contractor. We agree the exact split of responsibilities in writing, so nothing falls between the cracks.
Our approach to disinfection
Disinfection only works when it is done properly: clean first, then disinfect, and leave the product on the surface for its full contact time. We follow that order on every high-touch surface. We use hospital-grade disinfectants approved in Canada, which carry a Drug Identification Number (DIN), or your clinic’s own products if you prefer. We use colour-coded microfibre cloths, so a cloth used in a washroom is never used at the front desk, and we change mop heads between areas.
We follow your clinic’s written protocols and the cleaning schedule you set. If your clinic has an IPAC lead, we work with them on the checklist and on any changes during flu season or an outbreak.
Dental offices
Dental offices have their own needs: operatory floors and non-clinical surfaces, sterilization room floors and counters (outside the sterilization area your team manages), patient washrooms, and reception areas where families wait. Aerosol from procedures settles on horizontal surfaces, so we pay extra attention to ledges, lights and counters outside the operatory chair area that your team cleans between patients.
Physiotherapy, chiropractic and wellness clinics
Treatment tables, exercise equipment, mats, weights and change rooms see constant contact. We clean and disinfect equipment and mats at the end of the day, launder or replace covers if you supply them, and keep change rooms and washrooms fresh, so the clinic is ready for the first appointment.
Scheduling around patients
We clean after the last patient leaves, early in the morning before the first appointment, or on weekends, depending on your hours. Most clinics choose daily cleaning on clinic days, with a weekly or monthly deep clean of floors, vents, high dusting and glass. We confirm alarm codes, keys and which rooms are off limits during setup, and we never access patient records or files. Our crew does not open cabinets, drawers or files unless that is part of the agreed checklist.
Privacy and confidentiality
Clinics hold sensitive information. Our cleaners do not read, move or remove papers, files or screens, and we can schedule cleaning for times when records are locked away. Tell us about any locked rooms or areas that must only be cleaned with a staff member present.
What clinic cleaning costs
Clinic cleaning is quoted per visit or per month after a free site visit, based on the size of the clinic, the number of exam rooms and washrooms, the frequency and the disinfection scope. Our labour rate is $35–$40 per hour, and we show you the expected hours per visit so you can see how the price is built. Call or WhatsApp 647-921-1060 to arrange a site visit.
